The service

JFT Prep provides practice tests, mock tests, section drills, study guides, tools and email alerts to help you prepare for the Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese (JFT-Basic).

JFT Prep is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Japan Foundation, Prometric or any Japanese government body. Our practice content is original and modelled on the publicly described test format; it does not contain real exam questions. You book and pay for the real test only through Prometric.

Estimates, not official results

Scores and levels on JFT Prep are estimates for practice. They are not official JFT-Basic results, and they do not guarantee any score on the real test or the outcome of any visa, job or school application.

Test dates, fees and visa rules change. Always confirm the current information on the Japan Foundation, Prometric and official Japanese government sites before you book or apply. JFT Prep is not a recruitment or visa agency and does not give legal or immigration advice.

Your account

Give a valid email address and keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. An account is for one person: don't share it or resell access.

Your use of JFT Prep must follow our acceptable use policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks it.

Paid plans

Premium (monthly) renews automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your dashboard and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Exam sprint is a single payment for three months of Premium. It does not renew and nothing is charged afterwards.

Payments are processed by our payment partner, Dodo Payments or Creem, which acts as the merchant of record: it charges you, issues your receipt and handles sales tax. Its name may appear on your statement instead of ours. Prices are in US dollars; your bank may convert them.

Our 14-day refund guarantee on Premium applies as described on the pricing page. To ask for a refund, email [email protected] from the address on your account within 14 days of the payment. The refund goes back to the original payment method, and your Premium access ends when it is issued.

Content

All practice questions, audio, explanations, guides and software on JFT Prep belong to JFT Prep or its licensors. You may use them for your own preparation only. You may not copy, scrape, republish or sell them, or use them to train or build another product.

You keep ownership of anything you send us, such as a correction report. You allow us to use it to run and improve the service.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, JFT Prep is not liable for indirect losses, for test fees, or for decisions made on the basis of practice estimates or information that changed after we checked it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
